Must Review (Two): What They Say May Be Great (But Our Trust MUST Be In GOD and GOD Alone)

About People and Things Sharing

I encourage you not to put your trust in people. Put your trust in GOD. Trust HIM to guide and direct you. Learn what you can from others. Ask GOD to lead you and to reveal to you what you need to now about the information and resources that you are exposed. Some things are good but they not good for you. Some things are good but they not good for you right now. Some things are simply not good.

Please keep in mind that I am connecting with many people. I have known about the work of some longer than others. While I hope that individuals are people of integrity who are working to share quality information and resources, I understand that I am sharing information from humans.

A person may be, or appear to be, one thing today and tomorrow may become, or appear to become, something totally different.

These are a few of the things that could have happened:
1. Their intentions are good and they do and will continue to share quality information and resources
2. Their intentions are good and they make mistakes.
2. They had a lapse in judgement and made a poor decision
3. They had good intentions and at some point they changed
4. They were operating under false pretenses and their true motives were revealed

 

Here are a few questions and answers that I hope will help you as we move forward.

The following questions were answered about the @ConnectorAllen Twitter platform but can also be applicable to my other interactions with people on other platforms.

What will I be using this Twitter platform to do?

I am making connections that could prove to be helpful as I work to make life more Marvelous for youth, young adults and for those who invest in their lives.

Am I endorsing the people, places, things (including brands) that I engage with on this Twitter platform?

Absolutely not! Engagement with people, places, things (including brands) does not necessarily equal endorsement!

Why did I set up ConnectorAllen Twitter account although I have other Twitter accounts? What’s different about this account?

I set up the ConnectorAllen Twitter account up in order to have a place to engage freely with people and things (including brands) as I work to discover people, places and things (including information) that can prove to be helpful as I work to make life more Marvelous for youth and young adults and for those who invest in their lives.

I emphasize freely because I have been hesitant to engage with people and other resources that are new to me on other platforms where I work to share great information with those who I work serve because I didn’t want to give the perception that my engagement implied endorsement.

So here, I clearly and repeatedly disclose that no interactions here imply any endorsement of any person, place, thing, resource, strategy or information.

This allows me to more comfortably interact with people and resources that I may or may not continue to interact with or share about.

I am getting to know about people, places and things (including resources and strategies) that could prove to be helpful to me as I work to help parents. They could also prove to be helpful to youth and young adults. They could also be helpful to parents, school teachers, school administrators, child care professionals, business leaders and others who invest in the lives of our youth and young adults.

My efforts will often focus on connecting with people, places and things connected with such things as particular industries or locations as I explore various issues.

One of my greatest commitments is working to get those who I work to assist the information and resources that they need right now. For this reason, at other times, I may be reaching out to, interacting with and otherwise engaging in communications with and regarding people, places and things in a wide array of fields, industries and locations.

How do I select who, what or where I will seek to learn more about?

The topics that I choose to address are chosen because:

I feel that it is something that I need to know in order to be of better assistance to those who I work to assist
It is something that I believe could prove to helpful to those who I work to assist
It is something that I know could prove to helpful to those who I work to assist
I see a sign
I see a company vehicle
I have a prior interest
Or any number of other reasons!
Will I share information from sources that I have prior experience with and consider reliable?

Yes. I love to give so I will work to share information and resources that I hope will help you and those you care about. (For more content from sources that I have greater experience with, I encourage you to connect with me on my blog and on my other social media accounts.)

Is @ConnectorAllen on Twitter the best place to learn more about the information that I am working to share with youth, young adults, parents, educators, organizational leaders, community members and others dedicated to helping to make life more Marvelous for our youth and young adults?

No.

While some great information will be shared here, this is a place where I will be learning about many different people, organizations and places. Some will be a fit for our community and others will not. With some, long term working relationships may be established. With others, communications may be limited and for any number of reasons, no ongoing communications may take place and no long term relationships may be formed. You may come across those who excel in their industries. You could even come across those who fail to meet acceptable industry standards. For more information from sources that I believe to be more reliable and credible, I encourage you to join me on the online platforms shared below. Please note that I can not vouch 100% for any person, other than myself. People may be great resources one day and not the next. They may operate from a place of integrity one day, appearing to want to sincerely help others, and for any number of reasons abandon this position and operate from an unethical position. Therefore, I encourage you, and everyone else exploring resources shared, to perform your own due diligence and decide what does, and does not, work for you, your family, your organization and others that may be impacted by your engagement with shared resources.

It’s May Not Be Pretty But It’s Powerful

There is so much that I want to share.  I do want everything to both “pretty” and presentable but more importantly I want to get information out to those who I am working to assist. I am doing my best with what I have right now.  I do want things to be perfect but I decided that this was not an option at this time. The people that I am working to help are far too important. The work that I am doing is too important. There is simply too much at stake.

For these reasons, and more, I’m moving forward!

As I pursue purpose, I am doing the best that I can with what I have, right now!

Right now, I am doing the best that I can with the resources (time and financial) that I have now. (And I encourage members of my marvelous communities to do the same.)

I will work on making everything “pretty” as we move forward. Right now, I will continue to work on making sure that the work being done is “powerful”.
